  19. It is important to understand that beta test software may not be
  20. fully debugged.  We, like other software vendors, post pre-release
  21. versions of our software to give customers a chance to try the new
  22. features, comment on them, and report any problems.  If you are not
  23. familiar with WinZip, or you are not comfortable using Zip files,
  24. then we recommend that you not use this pre-release version.

  41. the permitted use and user(s) of each Licensed Copy of WinZip.  For
  42. purposes of this License, if you have a valid single-copy license,
  43. you have the right to use a single "Licensed Copy" of WinZip; if you
  44. or your organization has a valid multi-user license, then you or
  45. your organization have/has the right to use up to a number of
  46. "Licensed Copies" of WinZip equal to the number of copies indicated
  47. in the documents issued by WCI when granting the license.

  49. SCOPE OF LICENSE

  51. Each Licensed Copy of WinZip may either be used by a single person
  52. who uses the software personally on one or more computers, or
  53. installed on a single workstation used nonsimultaneously by multiple
  54. people, but not both.  This is not a concurrent use license.

  56. Each Licensed Copy may be accessed through a network, provided that
  57. you have purchased rights to use a Licensed Copy for each
  58. workstation that will access WinZip through the network.  For
  59. instance, if 8 different workstations will access WinZip on the
  60. network, you must purchase rights to use 8 Licensed Copies of
  61. WinZip, regardless of whether the 8 workstations will access WinZip
  62. at different times or concurrently.

  64. Each Licensed Copy of WinZip includes WinZip Self-Extractor Personal
  65. Edition.  SELF-EXTRACTING ZIP FILES CREATED BY THE WINZIP
  66. SELF-EXTRACTOR PERSONAL EDITION COMPONENT OF THIS BETA TEST VERSION
  67. OF WINZIP SHOULD ONLY BE USED FOR TEST PURPOSES AND ARE NOT LICENSED
  68. FOR PRODUCTION USE.  These self-extracting Zip files contain, among
  69. other things, a portion of WinZip Self-Extractor Personal Edition,
  70. including copyrighted software, proprietary notices, and identifying
  71. information (the "Extraction Software").  You may not alter or
